My weekly skincare regime wouldn’t be complete without applying a face mask every Sunday evening. Admittedly, this is something I rarely used to do as I saw the individual foil packets as too much hassle. But up until a couple of months ago, what I didn’t realise was that you could purchase a face mask in a handy container, the same as you would a face cream. So with this new-found beauty revelation in place, ending a busy week with a relaxing face mask treat has become mandatory.
I was recently sent Dermaceutic Laboratoire’s Mask 15, Oil Reducing Mask and it wasn’t long before it became one of my weekly skincare favourites. Dermaceutic Laboratoire is a French cosmeceutical brand that specialises in aesthetic dermatology, i.e. providing professional skincare results from the comfort of your home. The new Oil Reducing Mask is designed for oily and blemish/acne prone skin and contains the active ingredients glycolic and salicylic acid, which work to target the problem areas. The mask comprises a rich creamy formula that can be applied easily to clean skin and left for a recommended time of 2-4 minutes. Upon application, the mask does produce a ‘tingling’ sensation on the skin which does take a few moments to get used to, but is said to be a normal effect of the mask. It works in the same way as a mini peel treatment by tightening the pores and removing excess sebum. After about 2 minutes, I use warm water to wash the mask off and my skin is left looking matte and extremely revitalised.
At £34.75 for 50ml, it is rather pricey, but it will last for so many uses and it really does feel like a professional dermatology treatment as opposed to an ordinary drugstore product. I wouldn’t recommend this mask if you have really sensitive skin, but if you suffer from oily skin or acne then it really is a great product.
Post to you soon! xoxo
