This is the outfit I wore today before popping into town to pick up some bits for my holiday next week. Since the weather was behaving itself, I decided to show off my pins and dig out my hardly worn Dr Marten’s. I keep telling myself I’ll wear them more often, but for some reason they stay sat looking pretty in my wardrobe. It’s not that I don’t like them because I really do; I’ve just been taking the fine weather for granted and making the most of wearing my sandals (a rarity in the UK!). I teamed them up with my dipped hem skirt – which I can’t seem to get enough of recently – and my leather effect waistjacket which I received as a gift. I love how well this outfit works together. I’d say it combines the right mix of girly and grungy without looking too OTT. And since I was only out shopping, I opted for the minimalist accessories approach – you know those days when even a bracelet seems like effort?!
