Today’s outfit saw me channelling my inner Wednesday Addams, as I opted for a somewhat gothic ensemble. Christina Ricci, eat your heart out. Safe to say my New Year’s resolution to incorporate more colour into my wardrobe is well and truly out the window, but hey, you can’t have it all. I’ll start off by discussing my new leather boots. I got these in the Topshop sale this week for a friendly £20 reduced from £72. There’s nothing more satisfying than a good bargain, especially when the last pair are in your size. You could almost say that they pretty much walked themselves on to my feet. Almost. They’re called AWARD and unfortunately are sold out on the Toppers website, but you may find them in your nearest store – that’s if you’re lucky. They’re so comfy and sturdy, with enough height to be worn all day without making my toes want to drop off; perfect for fashion week, I say. I paired them with tights and some knitted socks for extra warmth. The rest of my outfit is relatively simple: a black skater dress, which I decided to wear as a top (didn’t want to put people off their lunch with too much thigh on show), a black midi skirt and my fluffy cardigan. I jazzed it all up a bit with my gorgeous statement necklace, which I received as a gift when I was interning at Company, and my velvet hair tie, which I bought from a little stand at the Clothes Show.
As you can see from my unhealthy-looking pale tinge, it was very bright outside, so I popped my favourite ASOS sunnies on. My sister told me I resembled Yoko Ono, but I like to think I got the grunge, 90s revival look down to a tee. Who am I kidding? I do in fact, look like a crazy cat lady (spot my cat watching me in the first photo).
Hope you’re all having a marvellous weekend!
Post to you soon xoxo

Cute outfit. I love black. I stopped trying to add color on purpose, I just do when I see something; other than that–black all day!
